I have 3 red bumps on my pubic area and 2 on my outer labia. The 3 I thought were ingrown hairs at first because they looked kind of like pimples. They now have scabbed over but they burn like crazy. The 2 on my labia are just bumps, not open sores. Sometimes it's uncomfortable to urinate, other times it's not. The bumps do not itch, and they only burn if I touch them or when my underwear rubs against them. A few days before the bumps showed up I had a cold, and the day after I noticed the bumps my cold seemed to get worse, almost flu-like. The flu-like symptoms only lasted one day. I also have a thick white discharge that does not smell. My boyfriend said he woke up this morning with "bumps" similar to mine. We are getting this checked out, I am just looking for some first hand knowledge. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Looks like an std. I am no doctor but sounds like herpes to me. I have never had it but I have read about it. Anyway, just get the gp, they will give you antibiotics. Its pretty common.

I am not a doctor – but based soley on the information you have provided it does sound like you have herpes – It could be the virus 1 OR 2. You should have a blood test done to recieve a comprehensive diagnosis.
There are several other things it could be, typically herpes will be painful no matter what, and will usually blister when its in the genital region.
Cold sores, Herpes 1 – is basically what you described. The burning, pimple like, and scabbing over. Even though its not as common – it is possible to have "cold sores" on the genitals. A huge trigger for a cold sore outbreak, is a weakened immune system – the cold you had could have triggered it.

If your discharge does not smell – thats probably normal, and nothing to worry about, but you should have it checked anyway ust to make sure.
