I have taken Monistat 3 and finished it about two or three days ago. I am no longer itching like crazy, but there is still a random itchy every now and again. Sometimes VERY intense. When I pee (after I scratch), it burns like how a yeast infection would cause it to. And I still have white discharge.

This is the second time I've had a yeast infection. I don't know what caused it this time. The first time was from using flavored condoms and flavored lubrication, but now I have no clue. I am on birth control and I use tampons, which I hear can add to getting a yeast infection.. but I don't know how to go without either.

I also really would not want to go to a doctor. I can't afford it. Or another box of Monistat.

walmart has a generic brand for $6 or $7..
they don't always go away right away.

Yeast infections can have a variety of causes. Some of these causes are from the use of antibiotics, high sugar intake, and a weakened immune system.

I suppose you could try the Monistat again but you can also try some other home remedies that may just help.

Change Your Diet:
Avoid alcohol, breads, refined flours, sugars and starve the candida fungus.

Garlic Supplements:
Garlic is an antifungal agent and by eating garlic or taking a garlic supplement it can help a yeast infection.

Add Vinegar to your Bath:
Take 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup salt and add to the bath water.

Plain Yogurt:
Eating plain, no sugar added yogurt can help cure symptoms.
